The Lost Arcade
Description:
Fun text design I created for The Lost Arcade, a website specializing in retro arcade games. We wanted something that looked hand-drawn, and looked like it could be printed on the cabinet of an old game.
Another direct-to-garment #T-Shirt design I created for the #paintball brand Skel’s Ink of a paintball player standing on a pile of his vanquished foes. The client and I have been developing this Paintball Warrior character to represent his brand, and it’s been a lot of fun to draw this cool, imposing guy in a lot of different situations.Illustrated by Brian Allen, https://www.flylanddesigns.com/#paintball #tshirt #mangastudio #photoshop #illustration #art #instaart #instaartist

Cryptivo Games
Description:
One of my favorite projects from last year: a t-shirt illustration for Cryptivo Games’ hit The Universim, a really cool world building game. If you’ve ever played the game before, you’ll recognize these cute little spherical people that are the inhabitants of the world you build. It was challenging to give the characters emotion and energy without using mouths (not to mention feet!). The illustration was used for a t-shirt and poster for the Gamescom conference.
Description:
The design was for apparel and a vehicle wrap for the russefeiring tradition. If you haven’t heard of it, basically russefeiring involves an entire class of Norwegian students renting a bus (a Russebuss), painting every inch of it with really cool street art, and then partying in it night and day for an entire month during graduation. The different classes wear their designs ever where they go as they clash with rival classes. I’ve done a bunch of these now, and really enjoy it.

Cinnamon’s Bar
Description:
Illustration of a bunch of misbehaving dogs chilling I created for Cinnamon’s Bar in Delaware. It was really challenging cramming a huge list of dog breeds and characters into this piece, all while keeping to a limited color scheme so it could be silk-screened. Very happy with how it turned out though.
I recently converted many of my favorite Manga Studio 5 brushes over to Photoshop, (over 100 brushes!)and I’m really happy with the results – don’t be caught with too few Photoshop brushes – check them out! Grab them in my shop.#art #photoshopbrushes #clipstudiopaint #illustration #zombieart #freelance #hire https://www.flylanddesigns.com/shop/

Ancient Future
Description:
Here’s something fun I created for a client of mine for his new album called Ancient Future. He wanted the members drawn as caricatures in a trippy garden.
Really starting to enjoy inking on the iPad Pro in Clip Studio Paint – I got one of those cheap pencil grippers and put it on the Apple Pencil and it totally transforms it my opinion. So much easier to hold and control. Plus look how rad it looks. #ipadpro #applepencil #art #mangastudio #clipstudiopaint #illustration #tshirtdesign #freelance #hire #eagleart
Cyborg Leprechaun fire-fighter I created for a St. Patrick’s day t-shirt template I illustrated for fire departments and t-shirt shops to license to celebrate their Irish Pride! Available for licensng if anyone’s interested.I try to design one of these each year, and I had a lot of fun with this one, trying to approach it differently by making the Leprechaun into a cyborg. From the future? Only time will tell.#leprechaun #tshirtart #stpatricks #firefighterart #firefighter #art #mangastudio #clipstudiopaint #illustration #tshirtdesign #freelance #hire

Chrome Candy
Description:
Skull logo design I illustrated for this cool company called Chrome Candy that manufactures custom handles for pinball machines, and other cool arcade parts. We went through a couple sketches to get the right look at the beginning and ended up with this happy skull chomping after a piece fo pinball candy.
Hey guys – I finally got around to converting my favorite CLIP STUDIO PAINT brushes to Adobe Photoshop, and I’m selling them here https://www.flylanddesigns.com/shop/ – Even though Manga Studio 5 is my go-to drawing program, I use Photoshop quite often – so they set of brushes makes going back and forth a lot easier. I did my best to replicate the behavior of the brushes as closely as I could. If you pick them up, please let me know what you think! #custombrushes #mangastudio #clipstudiopaint #illustration #photoshopbrushes #freelance #hire

Unlimited Off-Road
Description:
I was fortunate recently to work with Unlimited Off-Road, a huge jeep, and off-roading event, to design their new logo for their Spring event in Texas. They liked my beach and Tiki graphics, and we chose to create a rocky tropical island in the shape of a jeep emerging from the waters.
This was a fun illustration I created for a client for their apparel brand that caters to military families. The design, Military Brats, depicts the children of Navy, Marines, Army, and Airforce soldiers emerging from a moving box on a base, coping with the uncertain life of constant upheaval from base to base.It was a fun challenge to depict each child in a way that captures the aspects of each particular branch of the military.Illustrated by Brian Allen, https://www.flylanddesigns.com/#military #cartoon #mangastudio #photoshop #illustration #art #instaart #instaartist

Adam Bravery
Description:
Character designs I illustrated to fit into an existing library of art for an animated series pitch called Adam Bravery. It was fun and challenging to work with a simpler, flatter coloring and lineart style (to make it easier to animate). Can’t wait to see these characters come to life!
Happy to share the third and final illustration for my totem skate deck series. Thanks so much for all the positive feedback on the others! Now off to see if there’s a skate deck company out there interested in printing these. #skateboardart #monsters #80sart #mangastudio #clipstudiopaint #illustration #tshirtdesign #freelance #hire
#Tribute illustration I created to celebrate some of #StephenSpielberg most iconic films. I’d like to make a whole series of these for some of my other favorite #directors, like Tim Burton, and Guillermo del Toro.Illustrated by Brian Allen, https://www.flylanddesigns.com/#ET #jurassicpark #director #film #jaws #mangastudio #photoshop #illustration #art #instaart #instaartist
