T-shirt design and poster I was hired to create for the popular band, the Moonshine Bandits, where I was asked to draw the band members as skeletons driving their iconic off-road limo.
We chose to take a Big Daddy Roth approach, and make the characters larger than life so we could really focus on the small characteristics (such as the tattoos, hair-styles, etc) that make them identifiable. Set up for silk-screening with under six colors.

All finished with this tiki skateboard painting I did for a private collector. First time I’ve done something like this, so there were a lot of stumbles along the way, but I had a great time with it. The collector wanted the whole thing to be a surprise, so he never even saw a sketch. The first time he saw the deck design was when he opened the package on his front door! I was hired to create this logo for the outdoor sports outfitter, H20 Sports Zone, of a tiki chief riding a paddle board on the ocean.
I love working with tiki characters and making them do fun things – paddle-boarding has become hugely popular, so it was fun to draw him doing that. The logo was created both in color and black and white so that it would be useable in many different applications.

The client wanted something over-the-top and in-your-face to appeal to his customer base, who are anything but subtle. I drew a caricature of his pet. The business is cannabis themed, but we had to find creative ways to not exploit that theme too much.

Blocking in colors on this custom skateboard deck painting I was working on. I used some left-over black light paint for the eyes to really make them glow. Album cover design I created for the band A La Carte showing a disgusting restaurant with eyeballs, fingers, brains, rats, and even a toilet.
The band wanted me to create an album cover with a lot of gross details, as if a fine restaurant was being run by a deranged cannibal. The illustration covers the front and back cover. I also had the privilege to design the band’s logo as well, which was made to look like a goopy, drippy mess.

I was commissioned to design this t-shirt for the Circle City Foundation’s Light the Lamp Against Cancer event which depicts a hockey fan in a hot Indiana summer daydreaming about playing hockey in the wintertime.
It was a pleasure to work with an organization that does so many great things in their fight against cancer. I had a lot of fun putting a little spin on my beach graphics, by illustrating a lake beach in the mountains. This design was set up for full-color, so I could really go nuts.

This was a really fun series of apparel designs I illustrated for new outdoor lifestyle brand called Camel Toes, featuring an athletic camel mascot interacting with his female fans in different sports and fitness situations.
We tried to squeeze in as much activity, detail, and characters into each design that we could. The mascot himself was carefully designed in a way that made it easy to draw him doing all sorts of different activities. I also designed the logo and text style for the brand.

The telecommunications company Ericsson hired me to design two viking mascots that they could use for internal marketing that looked like linemen with their typical set of linemen gear.
It was a fun challenge to merge the two different eras and costume styles. I designed a male and female, and layered everything in a way to make it easy to reuse the graphics for a lot of different applications for the company. We started with a series of three sketches for each mascot, to flesh out how we wanted the character to look, and what pose we wanted them in.

I designed this rabid monkey in a racing suit for a Spanish Monster Truck driver that will wrap the entire vehicle. Can’t wait to see this thing caked in mud! A lot of the competing monster trucks were using simple vector graphics, so the driver came to me to create something more detailed and with more character.

Check out this evil skull emerging from the galaxy to devour the earth, for the band called Ammannait! This is one of my favorite album covers I designed ever! I sketched a bunch of concepts that I thought the band would like ever listening to their music. This one was the simplest, but definitely the strongest. Rather than adding a lot of details, I focused more on the color scheme and a strong layout, and I think it paid off well.
