Description:
Van’s General Store in NYC hired me to create this insane illustration of a crazy tattooed shark riding a bike through the city.
This was designed for a set of jackets as promotional gifts for the employees – the illustration is packed with symbols that represent different aspects of all their personalities. No need to explain, it wouldn’t help! Had a lot of fun with this.

My brother Keith is a super-talented pop-up engineer working at American Greetings – he's created this incredible pop-up book completely by himself by waking up at 5AM every morning before the rest of the fam gets up. He's launching the book via Kickstarter (WHICH STARTS TODAY!), and it would really mean a lot to me if you guys checked out his work. So inspiring! He poured everything he had into this – couldn't be more proud!http://www.messypopup.com/#pop-up #childrensbook #kickstarter #art

I created this poster illustration of a motorcycle on the beach for the Wasaga Beach Rally in 2016.
Never been to the beach, but it looks amazing – it’s part of the longest fresh water beach in the world, located in Ontario Canada. The rally is one of the biggest around apparently – it was a thrill to be hired to do the t-shirt.

Which of my art styles do you think is better? I often switch between a line-art driven comic book style, and a digital painting style depending on the project. The line-art style is more familiar to me, and I think it's easier to convey a strong identifiable style in the artwork. But the digital painting style can come across as more realistic, and is often what clients in the darker genre are looking for.Which of these is a stronger piece? Description:
I illustrated this t-shirt design for Bongjour in conjunction with the popular Chief Greenbud to celebrate his song “It’s 4:20 Somewhere,” a parody of Jimmy Buffet’s tune. The design was printed as full-color direct to garment. For this design, I tried a new technique: instead of inking the design, I just scanned in my pencil drawing (which was done on paper) and colored the piece underneath the pencils. I’m pretty happy with the result – it gives it a more realistic, and vibrant, and softer feel.

I illustrated this promotional poster and album cover for the hip-hop artist Bukshot who partnered with Violent J from The Insane Clown Posse, Madchild, and JellyRoll. Bukshot wanted the four artists illustrated as comic book characters, fighting a horde of zombies. I enjoyed this so much!

Description:
Logo design I illustrated of a punk rock blowfish for a vaping brand called Blowfish Competition Vape. When we started, the only concept we had was the name “Blowfish Vapes,” so I experimented with a few different styles of blowfish, including one that was a salty pirate. We like the concept of making the blowfish a punk rocker with a mohawk and piercings, including a big hook through his lip. I tried to use a color palette with high contrast so it would stand out when it’s printed on the small label that goes on a vaping label.

A series of character concept turn-arounds I illustrated for a series of vinyl zombie figurines that will be manufactured and sold in a catalog. This isn’t the first time I’ve created turn-arounds for figurines, but it’s the first zombie series. I can’t wait to see how the final molded and painted models turn out. To make this as efficient as possible, I first sent sketches to the client for just the front view. Once approved, I used a 3D model in Manga Studio, positioned it close to the position of the front view, and then turned it to the side and back. I then drew the other angles using that model as reference. Pretty effective little trick!

This is a detailed series of illustrations I created for a children’s book teaching kids about construction. Each double-page spread was packed with animal characters, vehicles, tools, and activities. The book challenges kids to hunt out objects and solve problems within the illustration, so I had to draw everything in a way that certain elements were intentionally hard to find. I had a lot of fun with this, because I had a lot of freedom to design the characters and draw them in my style.

Concept art characters I created for a book publisher, taking characters we had already created, and outfitting them for exploring the undersea depths!
