Editorial illustration I created for the cover of the Sports Business Journal commemorating their 20th anniversary. We discussed a lot of different ideas, and ultimately landed on this one: a giant stadium housing many different sports shaped like a giant layered birthday cake. The magazine has over 15,000 subscribers, and is geared toward the business side of sports.

I was in charge of a special anniversary issue of SportsBusiness Journal, and wondered if an illustration might work for the cover. We had never hired an illustrator, and I had no idea where to start, but after seeing Brian’s portfolio and contacting him, he not only took a vague idea and turned it into a stunning illustration, but he walked me through every step of the process, making it informative, collaborative and fun. I hope to get a chance to work with him again.
