This New YouTube video shows how I traditionally ink by hand with a Pentel brush pen for t-shirt design.
This is a T-Shirt illustration of a hip-hop singer gripping a mic spewing bad breath fumes I created for a hip-hop apparel brand called Unik Sovaj.
Client:
Unik Sovaj (Wild and Crazy)
Description:
T-Shirt illustration of a mad cow MMA fighter in fight shorts I created for the apparel brand Unik Sovaj.
T-Shirt illustration of a hip-hop singer gripping a mic spewing bad breath fumes I created for a hip-hop apparel brand called Unik Sovaj.
I created these two wild and unique t-shirt designs for the hip-hop apparel brand Unik Sovaj. The illustrations were set up for full-color printing. The client had a few rough ideas, but really wanted to see what I came up with when totally unrestrained. I also created a fresh new logo type for the brand.
Client Testimonial:
You have really out done yourself this time!!!!!!! WE LOVE IT!!!!

Digital painting of a zombie I was commissioned to create for the author Danny King as an avatar and branding identity for his sports blog. I really enjoy making things look creepy and funny at the same time – I tried to pump a lot of personality into the character. I seem to really like drawing people and zombies smoking cigars – not sure why that is. This zombie painting was created in Manga Studio 5, with color adjustments and effects handled in Adobe Photoshop.
T-Shirt illustration I created for the hip-hop artist Concious Curci of a thug riding a skateboard away from the cops. The T-Shirt illustration was set up for silk-screening with 4 colors to celebrate the release of Corci’s latest album.
Custom mascot character design I created for a vinyl wrap for a bus, and other apparel for a club in Norway, depicting an angry gun-toting gangster. The client approached me looking for a character and logo design for their club, and wanted something intimidating but also kind of fun.
I created this graphic for the “Crooks,” and provided the final graphics in different pieces and colors, so they could get as many uses from it as possible.
ZodoMan, Royal Zone Records
Album cover illustration I created for Royal Zone Records artist Zachary Martinez (ZodoMan). He asked me to create an image of him transforming into his mascot character, the monkey, in a style similar to Carnage from the Spiderman Comics. Spiderman was all I read as a kid, so I was very excited about this project. We were both very happy with how this turned out – record releasing soon!
How do I describe this project? The NYC musicians, We Chief, hired me to create a simple animated image to advertise their new single. The concept was inspired from the title of the song, “Gyals From Brooklyn,” and they wanted the artwork to be minimalistic and colorful. Oh, and they also wanted three giant butts walking toward the Brooklyn bridge.
This was a lot of fun to illustrate, and even more fun to animate!
Logo design I created for the Nerd-core hip-hop artist, El Gun Legro. This guy has a ton of personality, and we set out to create an icon and typeface that would capture that. It was also import to retain a comic book feel, since comic conventions are a huge part of his set list. We kicked around a couple of designs, but ultimately, we landed on this one, with a screaming mic with cords mimicing El Gun’s iconic wig.
Check him out here (J-Light is wearing a shirt I designed for El Gun!):
