Skaekk Russ Logo
A skeletal witch works her dangerous black magic… for what purpose? The design was for apparel and a vehicle wrap for the russefeiring tradition. If you haven’t heard of it, basically russefeiring involves an entire class of Norwegian students renting a bus (a Russebuss), painting every inch of it with really cool street art, and then partying in it night and day for an entire month during graduation. The different classes wear their designs ever where they go as they clash with rival classes. I’ve done a bunch of these now, and really enjoy it. Take A Break
Description:
Bass fishing illustrations I created for Take A Break clothing. We wanted to take a sort of harder, more stylized and graphic edge to these designs, in contrast to the hyper-realistic renderings out there. These were separated for silk-screen by the client – I took care to use only a limited number of colors in the design to make that easier. I have a couple in my closet – they turned out great.

New Hong Kong
Description:
The band New Hong Kong hired me to illustrate their album cover for The King Makes The Rules, showing a bunch of evil monsters sparring with a young vampire hunter.
The band wanted it to be creepy but still fun, so I kept the gore to a minimum and the colors saturated. I illustrated the mummy, werewolf, zombie, and pirate skeleton in a heavy brushed ink style, trying to emulate the amazing Tales from the Crypt covers by Jack Davis. The band was really fun to work with, and the final result ended up fitting their music perfectly.
Client Testimonial:
This looks amazing and everyone loves it. We’re super excited—it turned out amazing as I knew it would.

Pandora’s Unboxing

I created this custom YouTube banner of the mythical Pandora’s box for a political channel out of the UK, discussing potential economic and political disasters (fun!).
The client wanted something really dark and mysterious, and hand-illustrated, to differentiate himself from similar channels.

I was hired to create this digital painting of a skeleton ripping through the front of a shirt.
This was a very challenging piece for me, as it’s a departure from my usual lineart style, but I’m happy with how it turned out. The design should hopefully be available in retail outlets like Hot

Description:
The band Hang The Jester hired me to create this detailed illustration of an evil jester made of a skull and horns for their latest album cover. The band asked me to create something with a very liited color scheme, and a lot of pen and ink detail. Unlike many of my other designs which are often 100% digital, I drew and inked this design on paper with technical pens and a brush.

This is a personal piece I did for myself recently of a biker skeleton riding through flames on a motorcycle. Pretty cutting edge stuff, I know! I experimented with some new techniques here that I’m happy with – combining a bit of digital painting with comic book lineart. I’m hoping to license this artwork for other uses, and print it on some apparel.

All-over-print dye-sublimated wrestling singlet design I created for BlueChip wrestling. The design is meant to be a reimagining of the classic bold shapes and pin striping that is common in singlets. I tried to give it a lot of depth, and keep it very customizable to different team colors.
I created this as part of a series of wrestling singlet designs for BlueChip’s summer catalog. The designs will also be available on fight shorts. I find it so enjoyable working with dye sublimation, because the color and detail reproduction is fantastic, and I don’t have to worry about the head-scratching that comes from working with silk-screen.
Client Testimonial:
Thank you very much, I think everything turned out great!

I created this illustration of a skeleton with a sledgehammer for a new apparel brand showcasing the work of DIY television personalities, called The Reno Life. I tried to add a lot of my own style to the skeleton, and keep it tough while not scaring the kiddies away. We did a female version as well – and I found drawing skeletons to look female is a bit challenging when you don’t have many… parts…. to work with. This design was set up for full-color direct-to-garment printing.

Description:
Custom t-shirt design I created for a chop shop called Gage Bros. I always love working on Direct-To-Garment designs like this one, because I’m not confined by how many colors I can use. We decided the best way to illustrate the biker shop was with a skeleton rider.
