Ready to rock? This metal inspired design features a stormy sky and floating bat-winged skull complete with a pair of bangin’ sunglasses. The design was for apparel and a vehicle wrap for the russefeiring tradition. If you haven’t heard of it, basically russefeiring involves an entire class of Norwegian students renting a bus (a Russebuss), painting every inch of it with really cool street art, and then partying in it night and day for an entire month during graduation. The different classes wear their designs ever where they go as they clash with rival classes. I’ve done a bunch of these now, and really enjoy it. Hard Rock Daddy

Hard Rock Daddy

Description:
Custom logo design I created for the rock music website Hard Rock Daddy of a mohawk doting skull with wings.
The client wanted something iconic and with a lot of character, so that we could later create a storyline with the mascot in different situations for t-shirts and other promotional items. The mohawk is a signature trait of the owner of the brand – we made it a vibrant blue, which will be carried out through all of the website’s branding.
We cycled through several different compositions and angles until we got it just right.

Description:

Listenable Records hired me to illustrated this Black Sabbath tribute album cover of their red winged demon.

I tried to pump as much of my style into it, while still keeping the pose close enough that fans of the early Black Sabbath material would get it. We put some headphones on the demon for fun. Always a pleasure working with these guys!

Skull, Wings, and Mace T-Shirt

Description:

Digitally painted t-shirt illustration of an evil skull with wings and barbaric weapons I created for the dark apparel company Spiral Direct. This was inspired by a similar design I had done in the past, but taken in a more realistic rendering direction. It was a lot of fun exploring the same subject matter in a different style – it’s a great way to discover the limitations and strengths of a particular method.

Eagle and Fire Helmet T-Shirt Design

Description:
T-Shirt illustration of an American Bald Eagle and a fire-fighter helmet I created for a brand of apparel for fire-fighters. I set up this design for full-color printing, and kept everything in separate layers so we could customize the design in the future for each troop of firemen who purchase the shirt. I chose to illustrate this in a more realistic style than I typically do, and we’re really happy with how it turned out.

I was hired to illustrate this T-Shirt design for one of my favorite clients, Darkhorse Fightwear, for their new line of MMA apparel. The design was set up for silk-screen using three colors, and illustrated in Manga Studio and Adobe Photoshop. The design was inspired by a previous illustration I created a few years ago – it was fun to revisit it and test out some new skills while illustrating it. The design features a skull in the center with wings and chains surrounding.

I was hired by Die Cry Hate, a spin-off of the Live Laugh Love apparel brand, to create some new T-Shrits for their line. I was given a lot of freedom in the designs, which is always a lot of fun. This design is set up for silk-screening, about four colors.
